Our client is a respected employer of choice with a strong heritage in the Welsh market place and is well placed to continue its strong performance. It is a national manufacturing concern with a strategic growth agenda and is looking for a talented Head of HR with sound commercial acumen and a proven track record in developing a People Plan and supporting the wider Group People Strategy.

This is a pivotal HR position within the Group, and, as a key member of the site SMT and the broader HR team, you will report to the Site Director. With a dotted line to and working closely with the Group HR Director, you will play an active role in partnering with key stakeholders, leading the site HR team to deliver generalist HR support for the operational plans and Company growth agenda. You will draw from your experience in driving high performance, talent management and development, organisational design and effectiveness. Key areas are employee engagement, employee relations, performance and reward, leadership development, resourcing and talent management are all key HR areas for attention to enable the delivery of site and company growth agenda. As well as delivering on the overall People Strategy, you will also be responsible for projects and will collaborate with HR colleagues across the UK sites to deliver them. We are looking for a degreed candidate who is CIPD qualified, someone who can demonstrate their experience of operating at both strategically and at a tactical/operational level, someone who has experience of leading a team, has a collaborative and pragmatic leadership style and is credible with senior stakeholders. You will have experience in organisation design, resourcing and talent management, learning and development, as well as employee engagement, employee relations and employment law. Broad HR generalist business partnering experience including pay negotiations gained in a medium to large unionised manufacturing environment is essential. A coaching qualification would be an advantage.
