This is a rare opportunity to join a progressive, dynamic manufacturing business as they appoint their first HR Manager.  With a strong consumer brand, this company offers the opportunity not only to provide business as usual support but also to deliver change programmes as they continue to strengthen their brand through investing in their people and their service.  As Group HR Manager, you will be at the heart of the business creating, shaping and delivering results through people. Reporting to the MD, you will –

  • Take overall responsibility for recruitment
  • Manage talent and succession planning
  • Advise on reward
  • Review and implement HR policies, processes and procedures
  • Coach managers on performance management issues
  • Deal with complex disciplinary/grievance and HR issues
  • Identify areas for development and opportunities for improvement in the HR function and service
  • Measure employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement
  • Manage and assist with roll out of HR initiatives
  • Embrace continuous improvement culture
  • Manage relationship with Union.

Operating in a stand alone capacity, you will enjoy working on all aspects of creative HR.  It will be your responsibility to develop, implement and review the People Strategy which allows the company to differentiate itself in the way it treats and supports its people while at the same time enabling the business to achieve its financial and growth objectives. 

Ideally CIPD qualified with manufacturing experience, you will be able to evidence a successful HR career in a progressive commercial environment and will have established a reputation as a trusted and credible HR partner who is an effective influencer.  It will be to your advantage if you have driven HR projects.
