Interim HR Business Partner

Enjoy this 12 month fixed term contract in a stand alone role working for a global hi-tech organisation in Cwmbran.  A global leader in their market with the ability to anticipate market trends in the digital space, this organisation is well placed to deliver next generation technology.  Reporting to the Director of HR who is based in Europe, you will work autonomously as the trusted advisor and business partner to the UK operation.  Working from home initially and ultimately moving to a blended working pattern, you will:

·       Support managers on recruitment and selection, advising them on search strategies, sift CVs and attend interviews

·       Maintain and update policies, handbook

·       Lead Performance Development System across the UK, supporting managers and employees on all steps of the annual cycle ensuring mid- and year-end appraisals are completed, career/development plans and objectives are set, understood and implemented

·       Manage employee relations – disciplinaries, grievances (there aren’t many of them)

·       Support management in setting competency and technical training needs ensuring all employees have a development plan as highlighted in appraisals

·       Together with the Director of HR, organise regional organisational reviews, identify high potentials and review succession planning

·       Liaise with global partners, coordinating annual salary review

·       Maintain employee records including starters, leavers, absence, promotions for processing by Payroll Bureau

We are looking for a candidate with:

·       Bachelor Degree in HRM or equivalent

·       CIPD qualification

·       Strong all-round HR generalist experience is essential

·       Excellent knowledge of employment law

·       Strong organisational skills, thrives on multi-tasking

·       Proactive approach, self-managed, enjoys working autonomously
