Interim Area HR Manager

This is a 12 month interim assignment with strong potential for permanency. Located in the Bridgend area, this organisation is not only a leading UK concern but is also in the top 10 of its sector globally. Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner and working as a member of a wider team, you will:

Interim Area HR Manager

Location: Swansea area

Type: Contract

Salary: £34,000 - £44,000 plus corporate benefits

  • Partner with the other Area Management Teams
  • Develop, lead and implement a people plan specific to your own Area of responsibility
  • Together with your Area Management Team, design and implement transformation programmes in full consultation with the Unions
  • As part of the employee engagement and communication strategy, conduct surveys, form focus groups, drive internal communication  
  • Working in partnership with L&D, design tailored change programmes in anticipation of the impact of change on employees
  • Upskill line managers to adopt a coaching style of leadership to improve retention, absentiism and employee performance
  • Manage talent within your Area to ensure development plans are actioned, skills and capability are driven, opportunities to broaden employees are fulfilled and future leaders are developed
  • Coach line managers in people leadership skills to ensure they fulfil their people responsibilities effectively and confidently
  • Manage IR and ER cases, consulting with the Unions

We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • CIPD qualification/extensive well rounded generalist HR experience
  • Project managed/ implemented transformation programmes  
  • Strong coaching style of leadership
  • Extensive organisational and planning skills with ability to work to tight deadlines whilst prioritising tasks for self and others
  • Previously advised and supported managers on key, sometimes complex HR processes
  • Ability to influence and challenge.
