Learning and Development Manager

Located either in Carmarthen or Swansea, our client seeks a Learning and Development Manager who can showcase their expertise in leadership development. Highly regarded as an employer of choice in the area, this role is key in shaping the leadership culture within the organisation as well as the organisation’s commitment to managing and developing their employees. Learning and Development Manager

Location: Carmarthen and Swansea

Type: Permanent

Salary: £50,000 to £56,000

  • Have complete ownership of the organisation’s performance development review framework, as well as the staff development policy and its implementation
  • Manage the staff development budget
  • Liaise with the appropriate stakeholders regarding the graduate apprenticeships programme to ensure its success
  • Monitor and approve sponsored staff development opportunities including applications for formal programmes of study for formal qualifications
  • Manage the mandatory training programme
  • Take responsibility for e-learning and online digital self-development programmes
  • Plan and deliver leadership and development programmes using external providers whenever appropriate
  • Promote online digital self-development resources, creating content to improve engagement
  • Lead staff satisfaction surveys , report on findings and draw up action plans
  • Collaborate closely with senior leaders and HR Business Partners to identify and define leadership development solutions
  • Develop clear and robust processes to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the employee development programmes
