As 2025 winds down, I’ve been reflecting on what this year has taught me about the world of work, about change and about the people's side of navigating both.

4 of my observations from 2025
- Change has been relentless and won’t let up. This year reinforced that change is no longer something to manage reactively. The more we work with it, rather than against it, the more we grow.
- Digital literacy is becoming more and more important not only in the workplace but for everyday life. Embrace it and use the necessary tools to become more efficient and effective.
- Emotional overload from the constant information flow has made itself felt and is here to stay. Practising self awareness and mindfulness will provide inner calm and stability.
- Continuous learning is a fact of everyday life. As AI evolves daily, inner personal growth is the norm to remain successful. To remain successful, a mindset of lifelong curiosity and learning something new every month is essential.
4 of my predictions for 2026
- People will focus on building diverse skillsrather than choosing a single career path and will re-skill to stay competitive.
- Digital distractions will increase and AI coaching will be used to reinforce focus.
- Working remotely will grow which will require a deeper intercultural understanding and a stronger grasp of global dynamics.
- People will seek meaning in their work. Values-based decision making and ethical leadership will be key priorities.
